Specialty:

1.Heat treatment, the hardness is higher than SKD11After the high temperature (520-530°C ),the hardness will be up to 62-63HRC.   

The strength and the wear resistance are higher than SKD11.

2.The tenacity of DC53 is 2 times compared with SKD11.The tenacity of DC53 is outstanding among the cold working die steel. It’s difficult for the tools made by DC53 to dehisce. It greatly prolongs the service life of the tools.

3.The residual stress after the line cutting process is smaller.The residual stress becomes smaller after the high temperature. The crack and the distortion are depression after the cutting lines after the line cutting process.

4.The machinability and polishing property are more superior than SKD11The machinability and polishing property of DC53 are more superior than SKD11. It will prolong the service life and reduce manufacturing procedure of the tools made by DC53.

DC53 is the new improved cold work die steel from SKD11.Its technical specifications is involved in the Japanese industrial standards ( JIS ) G4404. It fills up the deficiency of lacking of hardness and toughness of SKD11 after high tempering; DC53 will completely replace SKD11 in the field of general and precise mold.
